God is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love (Exodus 34:6) and actually desires to show mercy (Micah 7:18) - not wishing anyone to perish but all comes to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). That is who our God is, however He is righteous by nature and unrighteousness provokes His righteous anger, which is expressed in wrath. In today’s passage, we will see how the unrighteous suppression of what God has made plain to all provokes His righteous wrath.
