March 14, 2020
Church Family,

Since a national and state emergency has been declared concerning the coronavirus, we wanted to update you on the decisions that we are making as leadership. Our desire is to love our community well and to comply with the suggested guidelines from our state government, therefore we are canceling ALL public gatherings for at least two weeks. Please know that this decision comes with much discussion and discernment.

While we are disappointed to not be able to gather for the coming weeks, we want you to know that we will still hold our regular Sunday worship services online via our streaming services. We hope that you will gather around a SmartTV or computer in your home or on your mobile device to worship together at 9:00am. Our service will be broadcast from our Worship Center with worship and teaching as usual. We might not be in the same room but our hearts will be connected together as we gather remotely.

Rather than taking the next few weeks off, our staff is committed to connecting with you personally and seeking creative ways to serve the needs of others. In that same spirit, we encourage you to also seek to make efforts to connect with one another through phone calls, Facetime, group texts, Facebook groups and commenting, etc. With all of our technological resources, we should be creative in how we interact and continue to encourage and bless one another!

We also want you to know that if you are in a high-risk category and need assistance, we have volunteers that would be happy to deliver groceries, run errands, etc. Should you have any prayer requests or other needs, please do not hesitate to let us know. We look forward to serving you. See our Facebook page, website, or app.

As we continue to monitor the coronavirus situation, it is our commitment to keeping you informed. As updates become available, we will continue to send emails, update our website and phone line, and use social media channels to get information out. Also, if you are part of a smaller group or ministry, you might expect further communication from your group leaders on how you can connect together during this time. As small groups are concerned, we encourage each group to determine whether you gather, but please be sensitive to one another in making these decisions.

In the coming days, you will be pressured to react and respond out of fear. Instead, we want to encourage you to place your trust and hope in God. He is still in control, and he will see you through. May God give each one of us His peace and comfort!

 In His Service,
The leadership of Calvary Bible Church
