God's Righteous Judgment - Romans 2:1-5

In Romans chapter 2 Paul continues his analysis of first century culture - a culture that mirrors our own. In chapter 2 Paul pivots to those living in open rebellion toward God (depravity) and turns to “good, moral” people.
Most interpreters argue that Paul’s is focusing on the sin of the Jews in this chapter. Others view is that in VV1-16 Paul is focusing on the sin of a moralist, both Jew and Gentile, with the Jews coming into prominent focus in VV17-19 (which we will not get to today).
