Pastor Dave spinale
Pastor of Discipleship and Care
About Me:
My name is Dave Spinale. I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts, 30 minutes outside of Boston. I grew up in a Christian home and do not remember a time where I did not believe in God. But despite being baptized in middle school, I headed into High School having many doubts.
My Junior year of High School saw me going to my youth groups summer camp where we explored Isaiah 53. As we unpacked this prophecy, I became assured of my belief that God was real, this messianic prophecy written 700+ years before Jesus’ birth was about Jesus, and that I was not living for him. So, I started consistently attending my youth group, began being mentored by our youth pastor, and learned the joys of studying scripture and Christian community.
I graduated from High School in 2010 and went to the University of New Hampshire where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication. While in college, I became heavily involved with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. InterVarsity is a national campus ministry that seeks to establish witnessing communities of believers on college campuses. They taught me much about reading scripture, sharing the gospel, and building a community centered on Christ.
When heading into my Senior year at UNH, InterVarsity approached me about moving to Manchester, NH, and reaching college students with the gospel. I said yes to InterVarsity, graduated from UNH, and moved to Manchester in the Fall of 2014. Over the last 10 years, I have planted chapters at Southern New Hampshire University, UNH Manchester, Saint Anselm College, Rivier in Nashua, and have spent the last 4 years back at UNH in Durham. I currently serve as the Team Lead at UNH Durham and SNHU where I supervise staff and continue reaching students with the gospel.
While being a missionary to college students, Lindsay and I married in 2015 (we met at UNH InterVarsity), have had 3 children (Eli, Hope, and Lainey), and I recently graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with my Master of Arts in Theological Studies. I am passionate about evangelism and discipleship, I love learning, ideas, reading books, and playing sports.
Lindsay and I have been members of Calvary Bible Church for 9 years now and I am extremely grateful for this opportunity. I am amazed with the story God has weaved in my life to get me here and I greatly look forward to this coming transition.
