Craig Cassel

Serving in Missouri

Craig, originally from Derry joined the US Army after graduation from Pinkerton Academy. It was while stationed at Ft. Knox KY that he came to know the Lord as his savior at 18 years old. When God knew the timing was right, He led Craig to serve with New Tribes Mission, where he met Cheryl.  Cheryl was raised in a Christian home and her dad was a bivocational pastor. When Cheryl was 17, she went forward during a revival. Her father shared the gospel with her one more time and she trusted Jesus as her Savior. Several years later, the Lord led her to be a missionary with New Tribes Mission. She went to New Tribes Bible Institute where she met Craig.  Craig and Cheryl married in June of 1987. After several years serving stateside, they went to Indonesia, serving at the National Training Center. There they were involved in teaching, discipleship of native missionary candidates as well as leadership roles. Their last 3 years were spent on the island of Papua, helping establish a local church discipleship and training center.  After 20 years of overseas ministry in Indonesia Craig and Cheryl have been serving at Ethnos360 training center for the last 8 years. Their primary ministry is in the mentoring program. Both are on the Mentoring Oversight Team, do personal mentoring with students and co-lead student mentoring teams. They are also Student Housing Managers, and Craig is part of the leadership team. They count it a privilege to be training the next generation of missionaries.

Mark & Donna Whiffen

Serving in Mexico

Mark accepted Christ at the age of 4. During his senior year of high school, he felt God leading him to the mission field. He attended Bob Jones University, and in 1988 traveled to Mexico. He believes that this experience is what God used to confirm in his heart a desire to serve Him in Latin America.  Donna was saved at the age of 5. Her high school Spanish teacher instilled in her a love for Spanish-speaking people. Her experience during a summer in Puerto Rico stirred that love even more. She attended BJU knowing the Lord wanted her on the mission field in a Spanish-speaking country.  The Whiffen's ministries have involved weekly college meetings and youth Bible group, children's ministries, university and teen Sunday school, ladies' Bible study, campus evangelism, and Bible and literature distribution.  They are currently working with college students from two campuses; one is open and allows them to go on site to meet the students and talk.  Though they aren't allowed on the other campus to witness, the students live all around them, allowing the Whiffens to reach out to them and inviting the students over to eat and to attend Bible studies.  Please pray for their church, that the men being trained would be willing, and able to take over, for more open doors with college students, and for spiritual growth in the teens.

Jennifer Kierstead

Serving in Florida

My family attended Calvary Bible Church for many years, and I attended Calvary Christian School for middle and high school. After graduating from Cedarville University, I taught in New Jersey for three years before heading off to Brazil. After serving for 20 years as a teacher and principal, I returned to the U.S. and joined Pioneers, a mission agency that focuses on church planting among the unreached. My call is to help kids and families as they fulfill their call to reach the unreached. God has woven together my previous educational experiences into my role at Pioneers.  Many times, missionaries leave the field due to an issue related to their children. I work to proactively care for my families and enable them to stay on the field for as long as God has them there. I am a listening ear, help with transitions, provide resources/referrals, and help with educational questions.  I participate in adult training sessions related to caring for the kids on a team, teach and assist in kids’ programs, and debrief with families to help them understand their overseas experience.  I enjoy living in Florida, getting outside to walk/ride my bike and spending time with my mom and brother. As much as I am a people person, I also like a cup of chai and a good book.

Chandler & Ally Duhaime

Serving in New Hampshire

Chandler and Ally Duhaime work with Cru's campus ministry at the University of New Hampshire. During their college years God opened their eyes to the Gospel and totally transformed their lives when they started following Jesus. Shortly after coming to faith, they both got involved in Cru as students and learned how to walk with Jesus, share their faith with others and God grew in them a passion for campus ministry. On campus Cru is introducing students to Christ, helping them grow in their faith and sending them off to be lifelong Christ-centered multiplying disciples wherever they go after college. Cru's vision is that every student would know someone who truly follows Jesus and experience the hope found in the gospel.  One of the most strategic ways to make disciples of all nations is by reaching university students, who will be the leaders of tomorrow and influence the next generation.

Kelly & Andy Halbach

Serving in New Hampshire

In 1983, through the witness of members of Calvary Bible Church, Kelly trusted in Christ as Savior. During college, Kelly learned about Child Evangelism Fellowship and spent two summers ministering with CEF to U.S. military children and families stationed in Germany. Although her heart yearned for the excitement of ministering overseas in a cross-cultural setting, the Lord challenged Kelly and showed her the mission field at her doorstep: the children of New Hampshire! In 1997, Kelly joined CEF of NH full-time as a local coordinator.  Andy grew up in Andover, MA, came to know the Lord as a child, and is also a graduate of Calvary Christian School.  Andy is a high school math and science teacher and has also served with CEF volunteering in many programs from 2012-2016. In 2015, Andy and Kelly bought a fixer-upper farm in Charlestown, NH. Andy began teaching part-time at Claremont Christian Academy and is currently the Jr/Sr High School Principal.  In June of 2021, Kelly left CEF and began serving as an independent missionary under Mission Quest. They are now using their farm (Still Blessing Farm) for respite care for children of single parents, summer adventure camp, horse camp, and for other events and outreaches throughout the year.
