Most of us don’t struggle to see where others are wrong. We struggle to see where we are wrong. We replay what they said. We justify what we did. We explain our tone, our reaction, our words. And even when we apologize, we soften it: “I’m sorry if you felt hurt.” “I didn’t mean it like that.” “That’s not what I was trying to do.” But Jesus presses deeper. Because in the kingdom of God, reconciliation is not optional and repentance is not superficial.
