I
grew up in southeastern Virginia, I am the youngest of three,
and I can not remember a time when we were not involved in
church. My parents instilled in each of us a strong work ethic
and utter dependence on God. I am so thankful for my
parent’s faithfulness in making our home Christ-centered.
After
attending public school for all of my school years, I was
excited to have the opportunity to attend Cedarville
University in Ohio. During
my years there, I had the privilege of being selected for a
traveling singing team, which is where I met my husband, Brad.
We had a lot of fun traveling together and became good
friends. When our relationship became a little more serious we
decided we could go through anything together after a 10 week
tour in a 15 passenger van with 10 other people!
I am so thankful for my husband, for the opportunity I
have to serve by his side in this ministry and that he is
still my best friend.
After
I graduated from college with a degree in Business
Communication Technology, I worked in the Cedarville
Admissions Department and then moved on to be the church
secretary at our church in Huber Heights, Ohio. My husband and
I then moved to Nashville, Tennessee and I worked briefly at
Prudential Financial Services as a Marketing Assistant.
After
our move to Tennessee, we looked for a church for a long time
before we visited Fellowship Bible Church. The first Sunday we
visited, we fell in love with it. They had an ad in their
bulletin for an Administrative Assistant to the pastors. I had
a love for church work and started working in the church
office shortly thereafter. I look back on those years as I
served at Fellowship with great fondness. The Lord put
together a dynamic team of pastors to lead a passionate body
of believers. We are so thankful for the ministry of that
church and how it helped us grow tremendously in our spiritual
walk.
The
Lord moved us from our home in Tennessee in the summer of 2004
and planted us here, in Derry, New Hampshire. My husband was
brought on board as the Associate Pastor of Worship Ministries
and I serve as the church secretary. When we arrived here, we
arrived home. We could not be any more thrilled to be at
Calvary Bible Church among this dear body of believers. I am
so thankful for the opportunity to do what I love, surrounded
by such a great team of pastors and to be able to serve my
brothers and sisters in Christ. God has been so good to us and
we look forward to many years of ministry and growth here at
Calvary.
