SmalL Groups

What are sermon-based small groups?  They are groups of 8 - 16 adults that allow us time to fellowship, pray, and discuss the Worship sermon message.  We also have opportunities in our small groups to minister to one another to meet spiritual, physical, and emotional needs.  In short, it is where we do life together.

When do they meet?  They meet at various days throughout the week in member homes or at Calvary, depending on the group.

How can I get involved?  The current list of small groups with meeting times is on our Welcome Table Sunday mornings.  You can also contact the church office at info2@cbcderry.org or contact Pastor John Talley at john.talley@cbcderry.org.

EXALTING GOD…

ENCOURAGING WOMEN…

The purpose of Women’s Ministries is to be sensitive to and meet the needs of the women in our own church body and to establish and maintain teaching and encouragement ministries. We also have a burden to reach out to the community around us and believe several of our activities will promote that goal. If you would like to be involved in any ministry listed here, please get in touch with the contact person.

ChildrensMInistry.jpg

We place a high value on children, just as Jesus did (Matthew 19:13-14). Therefore we offer a variety of opportunities for children to “Know, Grow, and Show,” such as Junior Church, Sunday School for all ages, AWANA, and Vacation Bible School each summer. Nursery is also provided for infants and toddlers for all of our services.

Junior Church (for children ages 4 through 4th grade) is held during the morning service every Sunday in the Children’s Center. Children will be dismissed from the main service to go to Junior Church at the proper time.

Sunday School for all ages is held at 10:45 AM every Sunday.

AWANA meets at CBC every Wednesday evening from 6:30pm to 8:15pm.

We welcome young adults to gather and encourage each other through the study of God's Word.

Our Vision Statement:

  • Our vision here at the Bridge Young Adult’s Group is that we not only read and study the Word of God, but we also live it out and apply it to our everyday lives.

  • We are a group of young adults who serve our community and church, live to change our generation, and are passionate about God’s Word.

  • We want to be known as a group who prays, worships, grows, and pursues God together.

Engage Student Ministries

Engage Student Ministries is for all students 7th grade – 12th grade. The name “Engage” reminds us that God is pursuing us in order to have a relationship with us, and we want to engage him in that relationship. We also know we are commanded to share the love of God with others, so we want to engage those around us with God’s love.

Jr & Sr High Youth Group meet Sunday evenings from 6pm-8:00pm. Come enjoy a great night of fun and fellowship with other students including activities such as games, snacks, praise and worship, small group discussions, and a lesson.

Special Events: We regularly host special events outside of our regular meeting times. These special events include: Snow Camp, Camping & Canoe trip, Day at Canobie Lake Park, Water Game Night, New Year’s Eve Bash, different Service Projects throughout the year, Mission Trips, Cookouts, as well as times to hang out, eat pizza, and play games.

Senior Saints

The senior generation of Calvary Bible Church meets the third Saturday of each month for a time of fellowship, which includes dinner, a special speaker, and music. The church looks to the Senior Saints for prayer support. God has answered many requests in marvelous ways! The years of experience and wisdom that the Senior Saints have are welcome in ushering, nursery, and various other parts of the ministry here.

Worship Ministries

We define worship as “ascribing worth to God for who He is and what He has done, and responding to Him in praise, thanksgiving, adoration, reverence, and obedience.” It is our goal to worship God and give Him the glory in all we do, not just on Sunday mornings but every day of our lives.

Our corporate worship times on Sundays are one of the best ways we can express our praise to God publicly, and music is an important part of that. The style of our music is contemporary, with a full band including guitars, drums, keyboards, and voices. Though our style is contemporary, we treasure both the “ancient hymns of our faith” and new songs of worship written by men and women of God today. Much more important than the style or time frame of the songs is the content of the songs, and we always seek to sing songs that are biblically based, doctrinally solid, and lead us to a place of seeing God for who He really is and responding to Him accordingly.

If you are interested in serving on our Worship Team, A/V Team, Choir, Creative Team, Drama Team, or Playing offertory/special music please contact Pastor Brad at Brad.illian@cbcderry.org
