We Believe:

bulletthat there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)
bulletin the deity of Jesus Christ and His virgin birth. (Isaiah 7:14;  Luke 1:30-35,3:21-22;  John 1:1-2)
bulletthat man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God. (Genesis 1:26-27, 3:6-19; Romans 3:10-23;  Ephesians 2:1-ff)
bulletthat Jesus Christ died as a complete, substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of all men. (Romans 3:24-28, 5:8-10;  I Peter 2:24-25;  I John 2:1-2)
bulletin the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. (John 20:1-29;  Acts 1:1-3, 9-11; I Corinthians 15:1-4)
bulletthat on the sole condition of personal faith in Jesus Christ, men are brought into a right relationship with God, and are thereby placed into the body of Christ, His Church. (Acts 2:38-47;  Romans 10:9-13)
bulletthat the heart of every believer is indwelt by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:9-11; I Corinthians 3:16)
bulletthat the believer is eternally secure through the work and power of the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:13-14,  4:30;  Romans 8:29-39;  I John 5:11-12)
bulletthat the church is composed solely of all true believers in Jesus Christ, and is the body and bride of Christ. (Ephesians 1:18-23, 4:4-6; I Corinthians 12:12; Revelation 21:2-9)
bulletthat there are two ordinances of the church – Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Matthew 28:19; Luke 22:19-20;  I Corinthians 11:23-27)
bulletthat the task of the church is to evangelize the world and to make disciples until Christ returns for His Bride. (Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 4:11-16; II Timothy 2:2)
bulletthat both the believer and the unbeliever will be resurrected bodily in their own order: the saved unto everlasting and conscious bliss, the lost unto everlasting and conscious punishment. (I Corinthians 15:1-50; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:11-15)
bulletin the pre-tribulational rapture of the church. (I Thessalonians 1:9-10, 4:13-18; II Thessalonians 2:1-8)
bulletin the personal, bodily, and pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ after the tribulation to rule and reign for a 1,000 years, after which He will deliver the kingdom to the Father for eternity. (Acts 1:11; II Peter 3:1-13; Revelation 19:11-16, 20:1-6)
From the Senior Pastor:

In your search for a church home, I hope that you will prayerfully consider Calvary Bible Church .  I am excited about what God is doing at Calvary Bible Church .  So if you are looking for a place to learn more about God, to grow in His ways and a place to use your gifts and talents to show His love then we would love to have you join us.  We know that you have many choices and we encourage you to be sensitive to God’s leading in this area.  Allow me to share with you more about our ministry so you are able to make a more informed decision.

When people talk about goals for any organization they are usually looking for some means of measurable results to determine the effectiveness of that organization.  In ministry, measurable results can be hard to define but, none the less, important.  As the senior pastor, if I were asked what your goals for Calvary Bible Church are, I would sum it up with three words:  KNOW, GROW, and SHOW.  These words not only are at the core of the CBC Vision statement, they are at the core of what drives me in ministry.  Ultimately, they are the means by which we measure our success as a ministry.

My main passion in life is the communication of God’s Word.  I can think of no greater privilege than to proclaim God’s Word to His people.  However, my greatest burden is that we as God’s people “flesh” out that Word in our daily lives.  Growing in the application of the Word of God should be a priority of every true believer.  I can think of no greater tragedy than believers living lives that do not show the difference Christ makes in our lives.  Our lives are to be lived as an act of worship to God and as a testimony of His grace.

Ultimately, that is what CBC is all about.  We are building a committed worshiping community that; KNOWS the Word of God, GROWS in the knowledge and application of the Word of God, and SHOWS the Word of God through service and evangelism.  I invite you to join us on this journey to a deeper, more vibrant faith that will impact our world for Christ.
