Sparks is our AWANA club for Kindergartners (K5) through grade two.  Sparks club meetings combine learning with fun to create an atmosphere of irresistible excitement for clubbers and leaders as well.  

Sparks club is divided into three segments: 

During Green Meadow Time our leaders or special speakers provide interesting and challenging Bible lessons using many types of media, making the Bible come alive for our clubbers.  

Sparkle Time provides for small group interaction and time to complete club handbook activities and Bible memory exercises - it is amazing how these little ones can memorize God’s Word.  In the three years of Sparks a child will learn approximately 68 Bible verses.  Be sure to ask about Handbook CD’s and tapes to help make memory work easy and fun! 

During Game Time clubbers play a variety of fun games on the AWANA Game Circle. Games are geared to the age group and to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate – fun and good sportsmanship are key! 

Throughout the evening our clubbers are well supervised and cared for by volunteer leaders from Calvary Bible Church, leaders committed to children’s ministry, committed to helping kids! 

Throughout the year there are a number of special events in which the Sparks clubs participate, such as; the Regatta and the Regional Sparks-a-Rama – for more on these events check out EVENTS. 

Getting started:

The first step is completing the Sparks Gate Entrance Booklet; once this is completed the clubber is free to order their Sparky vest and their first club handbook.  Parents, when you register your clubber be sure you get one of our Parent Handbooks, it’s chock full of helpful information and answers to those most frequently asked questions.
